Building a Sustainable Future with Tea
Harada Tea & SDGs
is committed to building a sustainable society by working closely with tea farmers and beverage manufacturers, starting from the tea fields.
Three Key Goals of Harada Tea
1Commitment to sustainable farming and environmentally-friendly agriculture.
Agricultural Initiatives and GAP
(Good Agricultural Practices)
GAP refers to "a set of practices that ensure food

Reclaiming Abandoned Farmland
In recent years, the aging of farmers and declining
agricultural product prices have led to an increase in
abandoned farmland, posing a serious challenge to local
communities. Since 2013, Harada Tea Farm has been
working to revitalize abandoned farmland to support the
sustainability and development of local agriculture. In
2015, this initiative was recognized with an Excellence
Award at the Symposium on Reclaimed Farmland
Utilization.
Currently, we are actively pursuing farmland recovery
plans in Fuji City.
- Reclaimed area:28 ares
- Tea tree height:approx. 3 meters
- Steep slopes:utilized as traditional grassland for tea farming by the land lessee

3Aiming to create opportunities for diverse talent and improve productivity.
Our volunteers and runners participate. Creating opportunities in the local community.
We have been sponsoring the "Shimada Oigawa Marathon in Liberty" held annually in Shimada City, Shizuoka Prefecture since its first edition. The Oigawa Marathon course "Liberty" is Japan's first riverside marathon course that runs back and forth along the natural riverbed of the Oigawa River. On the day of the event, our employees participate as runners and volunteer staff.
