Exploring the Potential of Tea with Beverage Manufacturers

I am currently responsible for developing and selling tea raw materials, primarily through OEM, for beverage manufacturers producing bottled, chilled, and canned drinks. To achieve the taste and aroma that clients desire, I blend and roast raw materials, proposing the most suitable tea ingredients. My work also involves arranging imported raw materials and managing product supply, providing comprehensive support throughout the entire product development process.

The Joy of Seeing Products on the Market and Building Trust

The most rewarding aspect of my work is being able to make proposals that exceed customer expectations. When my suggestions, which leverage the potential of raw materials while considering market needs, are adopted and the product reaches consumers, the sense of fulfillment is incomparable. Working closely with both internal and external stakeholders also allows me to experience personal growth, which becomes motivation for future challenges.

In-Depth Experience from Raw Materials to Product Launch

In dealing with major beverage manufacturers, I had the opportunity to propose green tea ingredients for the renewal of an NB product. Through repeated taste adjustments and multiple site visits, we finally developed a raw material that satisfied the client, and it was adopted in the final product. Seeing the new packaging on the market made all the long efforts worthwhile. This experience taught me the importance of deeply understanding the needs of both customers and consumers.

A Company Where Tradition Meets Innovation

Harada Tea has over 100 years of history yet continuously embraces the latest technologies and trends. The company’s diverse operations include manufacturing teas and tea bags for households and commercial use, supplying raw materials for bottled beverages, and even engaging in funeral services. The Raw Materials Department, where I work, fosters a bright and approachable atmosphere, allowing me to feel confident in my role from the start.

From Everyday Tea to a Broader World

During my job search, I first learned about Harada Tea through my father. I was intrigued to discover that the teas I regularly drank were produced by this company. I became fascinated by the fact that green, black, and oolong teas all come from the same leaves and by the depth of the tea world. I was also drawn to the company’s approach of developing both its own brand and OEM products, as well as its commitment to exploring the full potential of tea.

Lessons Learned from Challenges and Effort

As a student, I was a member of the baseball team. Lacking physical advantages, I relied on technique and effort to secure my position. Even when I developed spondylolysis from overtraining, I balanced personal training with supporting my teammates and participated in the final tournament. Although I struggled in nationally recognized games, the experience was invaluable. The determination to never give up, along with maintaining a positive attitude and courteous greetings, continues to guide me in my professional life.

Becoming a Salesperson Who Communicates Tea’s True Value

My goal moving forward is to become a salesperson trusted by more customers. To achieve this, I aim to deepen my expertise in tea raw materials, enhance my understanding of quality management, and refine my sales skills. I also seek to explore new ways to present tea’s value in line with current trends, actively proposing products that contribute to the growth of the entire industry.
