On the Frontline of Tea Bag Production

I currently work in the Production Department at our Head Office Factory, where I am responsible for manufacturing tetra-shaped tea bag products. My duties include the entire process—from preparing tea leaves to forming tea bags, packing, inspecting, and boxing. When I first joined, my main task was inspecting finished products, but as I became more familiar with the work, I started operating the machines myself. In the production area, not only efficiency and accuracy but also teamwork are essential. With the guidance and support of my senior colleagues, I take on each day’s work with dedication.

Feeling the Responsibility as a Manufacturer

Although most of my work involves facing machines, seeing the products I made displayed in supermarkets makes me feel a real sense of fulfillment. It also reminds me of the responsibility that comes with producing something that reaches customers. When I joined the company, my supervisor told me, “It’s okay if you can’t do everything yet—just focus on building good relationships.” Those words have stayed with me. Since then, I always make sure to greet others warmly, express gratitude, and keep a smile, valuing trust above all else.

Gaining Confidence by Working Independently

When I first joined, I didn’t know what to do and spent each day following my seniors’ instructions. Everything was new—the different packaging for each product, how to use the inspection machines, even assembling boxes. Gradually, I learned to handle the equipment, and I felt proud when someone said, “You’re ready to manage by yourself now.” I focus on efficiency, anticipate next steps, and continuously improve my approach.

A Comfortable Workplace Nurtures Positivity

Harada Tea values communication and openness. The company encourages employees to voice their thoughts, and there is genuine respect for each person’s opinion. My workplace is filled with cheerful, supportive people, and that atmosphere makes it easy to stay motivated. It’s the kind of environment where everyone can grow while helping one another.

Growing Up with Tea

In high school, I studied at a commercial course where I spent many hours after class studying with friends to earn qualifications. Through those experiences—especially while preparing for bookkeeping exams—I learned the joy of working toward shared goals while encouraging and supporting each other. That experience now helps me in my job, where concentration and teamwork are essential in a mass-production environment. Every time I master a new skill, I feel my growth and take pride in what I’ve achieved.

Concentration and Teamwork Learned from Study

My experience studying for qualifications taught me discipline, focus, and the importance of collaboration. These skills are directly applicable to production work, where accuracy and cooperation are key. I continue to find satisfaction in the process of turning challenges into achievements and feeling my own progress each day.

Becoming Fully Skilled in My Role

My current goal is to become fully proficient in all aspects of my line—from machine operation to inspection. I learn by observing my seniors and reflecting on my mistakes. In the future, I’d like to take on new challenges in other lines, factories, or group companies, using my growing knowledge and experience to broaden my career.

Finding Your Own Reason to Keep Going

To students seeking employment, I’d say this: choose a company where you can find your own reason to keep trying. Even if you don’t yet have a clear dream, if you work in an environment surrounded by supportive colleagues and doing something you enjoy, motivation will naturally follow. Everyone starts as a beginner. What matters most is your willingness to learn and move forward. Take that first step—you’ll surely find a place where you can thrive.
