Listening to the Field and Turning Insights into Proposals

I work with major retail partners, such as supermarkets and co-ops, to propose our own products and develop private brand items. My responsibilities cover a wide range of tasks — preparing quotations, conducting market research, analyzing competitors, visiting stores, creating materials, managing delivery schedules, and coordinating product displays during store renovations. By gathering real insights from the field and studying market trends, I aim to make proposals that truly resonate with our clients.

Finding Fulfillment in Exceeding Expectations

I feel most rewarded when I can accurately grasp a client’s needs through meetings or emails and deliver results that exceed their expectations. I always try to act with empathy — providing frequent progress updates, writing concise and clear emails, and suggesting ideas that may be helpful even when not requested. Being thoughtful and proactive helps build genuine trust with our partners.

Overcoming Challenges and Earning Trust

During a private brand development project, an export issue with raw materials once threatened the product’s launch. Although I felt sorry for the inconvenience caused, our consistent updates led the client to say, “We appreciated your careful communication.” That experience taught me that sincerity builds trust — and the sense of accomplishment when the product finally launched is something I’ll never forget.

A Workplace that Encourages Young Employees to take on New Challenges

I’ve always loved tea and was interested in product development in the food industry, which is how I discovered Harada Tea. After joining the company, I was surprised to learn that many of the teas I had enjoyed before were actually produced by Harada Tea. Supporting numerous brands behind the scenes has made me realize how influential our company is—and how exciting it is to be part of it.

A Journey that Began with a Love for Tea

I’ve always loved tea and drank it regularly, which led me to develop an interest in product development in the food industry. During my job search, that passion ultimately guided me to Harada Tea. After joining the company, I realized the scale of our operations and how rewarding it is to support so many brands behind the scenes.

Finding Purpose in Supporting Others from Behind the Scenes

As a student, I wasn’t sure what kind of work suited me best. Through many interviews, I realized that I find greater fulfillment in supporting others from behind the scenes rather than standing in the spotlight. That perspective—valuing the small efforts that connect to something larger—has proven incredibly valuable in my current role. Even the lessons I learned from part-time jobs have become strengths in my professional life today.

Building My Own Style as a Salesperson

It’s been six years since I joined the company. Now, I want to shape my own approach to sales by combining my experience and knowledge. There’s no single “right” way to do sales, which is why I want to make proposals that reflect my own personality and values. My goal is to become someone clients naturally turn to—someone they can rely on when challenges arise.

Even with Uncertainty, Taking One Step Forward Opens Up Your World

Before joining the company, I worried that I might not be suited for a sales role. But I soon realized that there’s no single way to do sales—everyone has their own style. Now, I work in an environment where I can take on new challenges every day while feeling a true sense of purpose. If you’re unsure about pursuing sales, don’t worry—this is a workplace where you can grow at your own pace and explore your potential.
